the friendship that shaped a generation, like that kid and free willy or zeus and roxanne or something else just as sweet and heartwarming, that's hannibal and will. i guess eridan and he could be like flipper and the humans who kept tossing dead fish his way??? how could that not be fluffy.

he can handle that dinner conversation, he's totally got an iron stomach.

spoiler: i know like nothing about homestuck. but i remember ages ago something about eridan vs. magic and he wasn't a wizard!!! and lots of fanart with him in harry potter get-ups complete with scar and wand, riding a giant sea horse like buckbeak and so forth and so on. that's basically all i knew about eridan before. i really do want to find out more about his thing with wizards because i never understood how it tied in, other than him having glasses and magic being mentioned.

HAHA MAN basically that seahorse is/was his now dead seahorse animal dad, and when Andrew Hussie first introduced the character, fans pointed out how much he looked like a troll Harry Potter and Hussie went "oh okay" and ran with it, giving him a passionate love of wizards and magic, but only the fake kind. He super hates anyone who says magic is real and denies it exists, despite basically having magical powers himself. And then he ended up as teenage alien Voldemort.

Homestuck.

Basically if he ever gets invited to a Hannibal dinner and Hannibal serves seahorses (idk if people even eat seahorses), he'll get kind of emotional and excuse himself like a gigantic loser.

oh. now it makes more sense why there were some of him in hogwarts clothes looking ready to kill and talking about how he wasn't a REAL WWIZARD

apparently the chinese eat seahorses, yeah.
